I LOVE Lake Powell!!

Cort and I took a trip to Lake Powell with Ashley's family over the 4th of July. They were so nice to let us crash their family vacation. Cort and I love Lake Powell! It had been years since we had been there. It's as beautiful and as fun as we remember. We definitely want to make Lake Powell a family tradition.
Ashley and Brik.

Cort and I Brik (I hope they do not look at the blog b/c I know they will not be happy with me posting this picture) I think they look good!!

Ashley and I on the back of the boat.

We loved taking the wave runners out of for long drives. Cort and Brik preferred driving because Ashley and I were definitely more cautious. I wish I had a picture of Ashley pulling Cort and Brik on the tube. We were so worried about the guys pulling us on the tube but the first round Ashley pulled them, Cort went flying off the tube. It was hilarious. I am not sure how it happened but good work Ashley!!!
Have you ever tried jumping on a water trampoline?? It was my first time and it is nothing like a regular tramp. We were thinking we were going to be able to jump really high and do lots of tricks. You definitely cannot do tricks, the only trick is trying to balance and not fall off. Hannah, Cami and I spent hours trying to balance and then trying to push each other into the water. We tried to wake Ashley up but she was taking a nap. It turned out to be really entertaining and I loved hanging out with Hannah and Cami but we missed Ashley.

Here is the crew on the boat ride to Rainbow Bridge. Ashley's family is so great and spoiled us with great food and a wonderful weekend! They have the sweetest family I have ever met. Thanks again!!

Thanks Nielsen/Jackson family for a WONDERFUL vacation!!!

THE PRICE IS RIGHT!

I got tickets to the Price is Right. We had a great idea of buying matching t-shirts to try and get on camera. We arrived at the studio at 11:30am. They told us the taping does not start until 4:00pm, but we had to stick around because they would be taking pictures and interviewing all audience members. Well, our pictures were taken and we were interviewed. They asked us, "Where we were from, if we were working or going to school." It was not an interview just a few questions. We were all trying to be very energetic and talkative during the "interview." (well my friend Ashley did not want to be picked to be on the show so she kept hiding her name tag) It was raining really hard and we were all starting to get tired. We were wondering if it was worth waiting 4 hours to watch the taping of the show. BELIEVE ME, IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!

My friend Anjuli was picked to be a contestant on the show. SHE WON THE ENTIRE SHOW CASE!!!! She went home with a jacuzzi, bedroom set, $450 worth of sunscreen, and a new couch. $19,139 worth of gifts. Watch March 3rd to see Anjuli win.

We had a bet before the taping started. If any of us won anything on the show we had to treat the others to dinner and a movie. Anjuli won, so that means we got a free dinner at My Taco.....it was delicious. She still owes a movie. I love the PRICE IS RIGHT. Hopefully, next time I will win.

Home for the Holidays

I am finally posting pictures from Christmas. We were able to go home and see my family for Christmas. Cort was able to go skiing everyday while I enjoyed hanging out with my family. I had to drop Cort off at Snowbird so I decided we might as well get a picture since I drove him up the canyon. I love Utah in the winter. It is so pretty.

We were able to attend my family's annual Christmas Eve party with all of cousins. It is always an entertaining night with lots of people and tons of food. My uncle Richard and I showed up in matching Christmas sweaters.

Here is a picture of the girls.....Look closely, I am holding a picture of Justin Timberlake. It was a gift given to my cousin Tyler. He was kind enough to let me hold it for the picture.

and a picture of all the guys. Thanks Chelsey and Don for hosting the Christmas Eve party. It was fun getting together with everyone over Christmas.

I made the mistake of telling Cort my parents were getting him the Wii for Christmas. He has been asking for the last few months if my mom would send it to him early. He could not wait until Christmas morning. Well, he finally was able to open it and he was really excited!!!
My mom loves the Wii. We did not realize my mom would be the one dying to play. She would want us to stay up until 1:00am playing different games. Nate was amused sitting back and watching my mom and Kelly play.
