THE PRICE IS RIGHT!

I got tickets to the Price is Right. We had a great idea of buying matching t-shirts to try and get on camera. We arrived at the studio at 11:30am. They told us the taping does not start until 4:00pm, but we had to stick around because they would be taking pictures and interviewing all audience members. Well, our pictures were taken and we were interviewed. They asked us, "Where we were from, if we were working or going to school." It was not an interview just a few questions. We were all trying to be very energetic and talkative during the "interview." (well my friend Ashley did not want to be picked to be on the show so she kept hiding her name tag) It was raining really hard and we were all starting to get tired. We were wondering if it was worth waiting 4 hours to watch the taping of the show. BELIEVE ME, IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!

My friend Anjuli was picked to be a contestant on the show. SHE WON THE ENTIRE SHOW CASE!!!! She went home with a jacuzzi, bedroom set, $450 worth of sunscreen, and a new couch. $19,139 worth of gifts. Watch March 3rd to see Anjuli win.

We had a bet before the taping started. If any of us won anything on the show we had to treat the others to dinner and a movie. Anjuli won, so that means we got a free dinner at My Taco.....it was delicious. She still owes a movie. I love the PRICE IS RIGHT. Hopefully, next time I will win.

Home for the Holidays

I am finally posting pictures from Christmas. We were able to go home and see my family for Christmas. Cort was able to go skiing everyday while I enjoyed hanging out with my family. I had to drop Cort off at Snowbird so I decided we might as well get a picture since I drove him up the canyon. I love Utah in the winter. It is so pretty.

We were able to attend my family's annual Christmas Eve party with all of cousins. It is always an entertaining night with lots of people and tons of food. My uncle Richard and I showed up in matching Christmas sweaters.

Here is a picture of the girls.....Look closely, I am holding a picture of Justin Timberlake. It was a gift given to my cousin Tyler. He was kind enough to let me hold it for the picture.

and a picture of all the guys. Thanks Chelsey and Don for hosting the Christmas Eve party. It was fun getting together with everyone over Christmas.

I made the mistake of telling Cort my parents were getting him the Wii for Christmas. He has been asking for the last few months if my mom would send it to him early. He could not wait until Christmas morning. Well, he finally was able to open it and he was really excited!!!
My mom loves the Wii. We did not realize my mom would be the one dying to play. She would want us to stay up until 1:00am playing different games. Nate was amused sitting back and watching my mom and Kelly play.

Christmas in New York

Cort had to go to New York on business for 2 weeks.  I was able to fly and meet him for the weekend.  While we were there we were able to hang out with Emily and Peter.  They are great tour guides of the city.  Emily and Peter are always looking for people to take around the city, so next time you are in New York, definitely look them up.  The only time I wish I lived in New York is during the month of December.  There is not another state that decorates the way New York City does.  It definitely put us in the Christmas spirit.  It was a nice change from the Southern California 65 degree weather.

I wanted to go see the Statue of Liberty so we hopped on the ferry and froze in the bone chilling 20 degree weather.  Cort and Peter bundled up outside while Emily and I sat inside staying warm.We went ice skating at Bryant Park.  As you can see I had to hold on to Cort for support.  People were falling all over the place.  Luckily, we had no causalities in our group.
Here we are with Emily and Peter.   We wished they lived by us so we could hang out with them all the time.
We were walking down the street near Times Square and looked up to see Cort's name appeared on a sign.....WEIRD!  (Spelled correctly too.)  I could not resist taking a picture.
We went and saw Legally Blonde on Broadway.  It was GREAT.  The strike ended 2 days before I arrived in New York.
Central Park is beautiful.  It was freezing walking through the park but definitely worth it.

Everyone kept telling me I had to go to Serendipity while I was in New York.  I was really looking forward to getting a frozen hot chocolate.  (Even though it was 20 degrees outside)  We walked many blocks to get to Serendipity and show up to the doors blocked off and a sign on the door: CLOSED.  I guess Serendipity is closed due to rats in the kitchen, GROSS.

We also were recruited by the Gap to be in a commercial.  Check out the link below.

Unfortunately, Blake Lively and her crew from the new hit "Gossip Girl" did it better.

Gave in to Temptation.....

I did it. I am not sure why I finally gave in to my sister, Kristy, and Ashley asking me to start a blog...but I did. I have been a silent "blogger" meaning I waste hours looking at blogs everyday. I guess I should not say waste, I spend precious work time looking at blogs. I decided it was only fair to do my own blog since I look at everyone else's blog. I love reading about friends adventures and looking at pictures of people I have not seen for years. I will try and post some of the fun things Cort and I have the opportunity to do living in Southern California.
